Soaring Through the Skies

Thesis collection, an exploration of themes of storytelling, the desire to explore the world, and the art of observing the details surrounding you. The visual research was influenced by my experience of moving abroad, aviation history and design, and stories from my childhood, including my grandfather's time as a pilot. With the inspiration in mind, the collection brings together luxurious texture, craftsmanship, and eye-catching details, proportions, and silhouettes.

Preserved Memories

Sustainable f/w collection inspired by how physical objects can cappture moments of time and how memories are created, stored, and destroyed. The collection developed from reflections of my grandmother's Alzheimer's and the idea that even if memories fade, the objects and people around us hold and preserve those faded memories much like rocks record the essence of time through geological memory. The collection delves into physical themes of memories, showcasing craftsmanship and fabric manipulations that mimic scarring, knots, and patterns found in nature; geological memory. It captures the essence of presence and absence, with details like stitch lines representing the memory of where details ought to be, embodying the movement and the permanence of memories.

No Harbor Was Her Home

F /W collection inspired by the life, visuals and textures of fisherman, and influenced by the song "Brandy (You're A Fine Girl)" by the Looking Glass ( 1972), a song about unrequited love between a girl, a fisherman and the ocean. The collection delves into visual themes of fishermen style, tools, and environment. Elements such as fishing nets and ropes, fishermen beards, and historic fishermen attire were explored to inspire craftmenship techniques and intresting design details.
